Thread: O2 Sensor Extension

Extending the o2 sensor off my j-pipe. Should I extend the wires from the engine harness side or o2 sensor? From what I hear the o2 sensor wiring is hard to solder together correctly. May just get a male and female connector and extend the o2 sensor side this way, prefer not to splice into the engine harness if I dont have to.

I just cut the 02 sensor harness and extend it using butt connectors that have shrink tube on them. its very hard to solder the wires. I have used a maxima(a33) 02 sensor in the past or a z32 sensor. the z32 or maxima is the cleanest way to install because the harness is the correct length.
