Thread: Display fix?

Long story short im picking up another SER and the aftermarket head unit in it is shit so I'm thinking about putting the stock double din (Tape/CD player) head unit from my 96 SE i have laying around in it. Works great just one prob is the upper display (on the tape deck) is kinda smashed (like when you push down on the display of a calculator) so i cant read the radio station im on or see the time...etc. I was wondering if anyone knew a way i could maybe fix/replace that display? Heres what the unit looks like and i've circled the display im talking about (sorry for the size, only one i could find on google images).

Perhaps this technique might work?

If you have a donor radio you that you can take the LCD out of, you can replace the LCD if you can solder.

Yeah I gotta see if i can find one someone might be tossing out or something
