Thread: Wiring the Lucino Outer Fog Lights

Working on wiring up the extra fog light on the Lucino bumper. Need your thoughts on how to wire it up using a spare blue Nissan relay I had laying around. I want to wire it up in a way where it comes on with the regular fogs.

Red is represented by the foglight mod already done to the car.
Blue is represented by the proposed wiring scheme for the outer fogs on the Lucino bumper.

Let me know if this makes sense.

Nobody has wired their outer fogs on the Lucino setup?
@Cliff, how'd you do it?

I wired them into the courtesy lamps (corner lamps) so that they turned on when the cornerlamps came on. If you want to wire them so that they're on with the foglights, just wire them to the foglight wiring. They're not high wattage bulbs IIRC.

The RIGHT way to do it, though, would be to wire in a relay a la Infiniti I30, so that they come on when you turn on the turn signal (they're supposed to illuminate only then, if you want them OEM spec) when the driving lights are on.

Tap it to the parking lights of the corner lamps.

I just wired them all to the fogs, i like them better that way, way more annoying with the side light

I want to use a relay in conjunction with tapping into the corner lights because I don't want to pull too much amperage from the very thin stock nissan wires.

Manny, you can just make the corner lamps as independent turns/blinkers and run the parking light wire directly to the outer lamps of the bumper.
