Thread: Does anyone have the wiring for electric s/sensor for the... (GA16DE)

sorry not sure where i should put this but i am stuck, my speed clock (er tacho?) didn't work so i thought it could be clocks, changed it still didn't work i then changed the speed sensor which i was very sure it was that but it isn't! i brought the Nissan manual from Flebay and i borrowed the other Nissan manuals from Nissan and none of them have the pages that include the wiring guide from the electric speed sensor, only the cable one which is from the carb (GA16DS)

Anyway to my point.. i have the GA16DE and need the wiring guide so i can trace all the wires to see which wires is causing the problem, does anyone have it i could perhaps borrow?

I'm asking here as there may be some 1.6s out there, but perhaps the 2.0ltr would be the same, i hear the sunnys are the same to,

any help would be really helpful

are you having issues with the tachometer (RPM) or speedometer (MPH)?

well the speedometer (mph) doesn't work but it isn't the unit its self nor is it the wires just behind this or the speed sensor (i was sure it would be the speed sensor) so now i need the digram for all the wires from the electric speed sensor as the Nissan manual i brought doesn't cover this, and was told you guys may be able to help...

Is it deffiantly on there or is it just a guess, if not i may have to look at other models, strange they would not put this in the UK version

Its for sure in there, I used them when making the wiring diagrams for the digital cluster swap

sorry to be really lazy but the bloke says he cannot find it, weather the search system is playing up or hes just blind.. any idea where abouts it is?

Well look in Section EL (Electrical) - Meter & Gauges.
Then look for the diagrams. The diagrams are divided for all types: Left Hand Drive/Right Hand Drive,
Electronic/Needle cluster, and Tach/Non-Tach clusters.
Yours would probably be right-hand drive, Needle, and with Tach... But if not, their is a diagram for you.

ahh that was it the trouble is this shows the wiring with 3 plugs, my nx has 4 plugs we did have a look but there different to my nx

what year manual did you download and is it the same as your car year? They do change plugs year-to-year. I'd double-check that. If you have a different cluster plug setup, it's probably the wrong manual.
