Yep factory anti theft system system. You leave it in place but are supposed to use a interface so it can't disable the ignition and fuel systems. Its been a while so I don't remember what the DEI part number is.

Sorry I didn't read this earlier, my alarm did the exact thing a few weeks ago and it was the factory alarm kicking in. Put the fuse for the factory alarm back in. Next time it does it the horn will sound and it will be s dead give saY for you.
