Thread: ASAP: Car is stranded, electrical, something blew..

long story short:

Car wouldnt turn off the other night.
i had the key in my hand and car was still running.
I think ignition switch.
I pulled the switch off the back of the key housing in attempt to wiggle it and turn key at same time and see if its faulty. didnt work.

So i left the switch dangling and drove home. (Bad idea)
As I was driving, my key hit a connector on the ignition switch as they were both swinging around...
I saw smoke
i saw spark,
I saw no power, car turned off.

Something popped, blew, whatever.

Where is it? I checked a few fuses they were fine. it was dark. I had no tools.


Any ideas?
