Thread: Help with programming key fob

Alright. I got a factory key fob off of eBay in the mail today. I spent a good 2-3 hours trying to program it and had no luck. I used the FSM instructions on programming with no luck at all. It'll go into programming mode, but wont recognize the remote. I put fresh batteries in the remote, went to Autozone, tested it, and it checked out okay. I checked the fuse and it's fine. The alarm even went off at one point for no apparent reason. I'm thinking it could be one of the relays, but I'm not 100% sure. I wanted to see if any of you guys have any insight or have done this before and have any special tricks that need to be done to get it right. I have a 95 B14 SE-R btw.

Lol just cuz half the remotes on ebay under nissan say they will work, 90% dont. post a pic of what one u got so we know if u got ripped or not.

Pretty sure it's a factory remote.

I used that method and got no dice. It went into programming mode, but every time I would press the button and no flashes. Could the remote be defective or could it be one of the keyless entry relays?

That may be a pathfinders didn't they look similar. My stock ones have grey buttons.
