how would you wire this?
1 2 x channel amp
each channel has 1 6.5" mid woofer, and a 5.25" component set with 1" tweeter and a 2 way crossover

1 channel example. There will be aduplicate of this on the other channel
keep in mind the 6.5MW needs a lowpass cross no higher than 4000Hz
[amp] ------[6.5MW]------[CROSS]-----[5.25MR]
__________________[OVER_]-----[tweet]

i cannot figure out how to do this in my head and have a way to set the crossover point on the 6.5" mid woofer without putting it on a separate channel.

Buy a 4-channel? And buy a sub and use the 2-channel for that?

If your 2-channel amp is good to 2-ohm, can't you wire it parallel (or series, I always forget) and wire the 6.5 up and the crossover that way, then wire the crossover, like you have pictured to the 5 1/4 and tweeter?

you mean between the crossover and the mid woofer wire them down to 2 ohms?
If I do that how do I apply the lowpass to the mid woofer?

so what you want to do is run the 6.5 mid woofer of the crossover aswell as the 5.25 component?? if this is the case then you need to wire them in parallel off the crossover low pass outputs

This will change the X-over freq's, it will work but not great. You need to build another passive x-over for the 6.5's. Then Amp to input of x-over to 6.5 in parallel with input of x-over for 5.5 and tweet. Or get a 4 channel amp with a bandpass filter on one channel for the 6.5's. It will sound better and more adjustability for better SQ.

i think im just going to have to cough up the dough for a 3 way crossover.
Its either that or use 2 2-channel amps in my price range.

The 3-way would probably sound the best besides getting another amp. I am sure you could make some or have some made for you.

Just wondering, where are these all mounted? Are the 6.5's up front? Where are the 5.5's and tweets mounted? Are you running any sort of active x-over or EQ? There might be a couple of things you can do without buying more stuff depending on what you have.

well it will be a kind of 3 way setup in the door, and I am using a 6.5 inch woofers to give me some bottom end, without using a sub for now. So i will be running a HU, 2 3ways in the doors and 1 amp hopefully, maybe 2 amps.

So for now, no rear speakers and no subs.

Then your best bet is to use a 3-way x-over or bi-amp some things. If i were you i would get a 4 channel with a bandpass filter on 2 channels and use that for the 6.5's. Then use the other channel for the passive x-overs for the component set. Set the 6.5's to (100-200)-(800-1k)hz, then set the high pass on the components to a hundred or two below the high on the 6.5's. If you set the 6.5's too high you will break up the vocals and it will sound weird. The 5.5's should handle the mids ok so you want the 6.5's to handle the mid-bass, giving it too much range can decrease the quality.

I ran 2 OZ 6's and a tweet in each door/kick in my SpecV tuned around there and it was load and clear. I was also using 2 5 channel amps so each speaker had its own channel and a sub in the rear deck in free air.
