Thread: OEM central locking problem

I'm hoping someone's had the same problem and can assist please. I haev a problem with my central locking on my N14/B13.

When I unlock the car using the remote, it unlocks and then instantly locks all 4 doors again. So I have about a hald a second to grab the handle and open the door as I unlock before it will lock again. What could be causing this?

Check the driver side door actuator. It might be binding up inside and not fully unlocking, thus then giving the signal for the doors to lock again. try it with the window down and give the lock a little helping hand as its actuated. If it works perfectly i'd say the driver door actuator might need to be inspected or replaced.

Check for binding of the linkage too.
