fan problems

so ever since i bought my car which is a 97 nissan 200sx se the fans are always on when the car is on.. even if i only have the ignition on the fans are on.. what can it be? help please and thanks

maybe the fan were wired straight to power so whenever car has power the fan will kick on.

yeah think so cause when i unplugged the fan it stops working

Coolant Temperature Sensor.

When the ECU gets a bad / out of range reading it 'assumes' the worst and runs the fans all the time to avoid overheating.
