Thread: cluster

Is there a black box that controls the gauge cluster because none of my gauges work except the speedometer and idk where to start checking, im afraid im goin to need a new cluster please help

I would check your fuses.

THats the first thing i check there all fine and also none of the interior lights work

I hate begging for ideas and also not having a tach so please help out

Check your main fuses in the engine bay, the one beside the battery. On the b13 there is a main fusible link, 25 or 30amp fuse that controls all that stuff. I bet you it popped. I cant recall which one it is. they will be hard to look at and tell if its blown. You might have to pull them out and check them. Look at them closely or better yet take a multimeter to it if you have one. You can see the break for the most part if you look close enough.

Also you could have given us more info like did this happen after something you did to the car or was it all of a sudden out of the blue meaning you touched nothing.

I just bought the car a month ago from a member of the other forum named KLUTCH the car its ok but needs a lot of love, he told me all it needs its a little black box that goes under the dash and it will start working but that doesnt sound right ,he had to replace the harnest on the car because a fuse kept blowing and i have the old one, the car runs fine just no interior lights and nothing works inside the cluster

its probably the fusible link im talking about in the engine bay. Check them
