Thread: Radio Reception Has Slowly Faded Out

The aftermarket radio has worked fine in my 94 B13 for years however over the past few weeks my radio reception has progressively gotten worse and is at the point of no receptionat all now. I can only listen to cd's. When it started to go the reception would be very poor when the car first started then would come back to normal within 5 mins or so. But like I said, now there is absolutely no reception at all. I swapped the unit out with another known good one but the problem still persists. I do not have HID's and have done anything recently to lead to a possibly reason for this issue. The antena wire is securly plugged into the back of the radio too. Has this happened to anyone else?

make sure the antenna wire is still in the back of the radio, maybe u pulled it out doing something.

It's in there tight. I am stumped.

This happened to me a while back. I wound up ripping out a perfectly good antenna to find out the FM receiver in my radio went out. Swapped in a new head unit and all was good.
