Thread: possible alarm removal / starter issue

so my NX has always had a starting issue, intermittently it would fail to turn over, so I changed the starter. Same issue. I suspected the clutch switch, which turned out to be fine. But while I was down there, I noticed someone had spliced in a strange plug to the ignition wire. I grabbed the voltmeter and sure enough, 12v was running to the pins in this strange plug mounted under the steering wheel.

I removed the plug and am about to solder the wire back together. Is there anything else I should be concerned with? is this an alarm system? I have no idea what I am dealing with here.

I got some, I pulled it out and soldered the wire back together. Now she cranks right up every time

i just changed out my cluster bulbs to leds fro liuspeed...and i found a 15 amop fuse inside a case COMPLETLY MELTED!!!!!! good thing it awsnt connected to anything,at when i found it...

I just ordered those bulbs, I have a couple burned out so I figured i'd get the set

i had to remove an alarm a while ago, i could beleave how shitty it was installed loose wires and elecrtical tape everywhere...

Some people just do not take pride in their work.

i'm not sure what it was, must have been an alarm, it looked like a consult port, but was just wired into the big black ignition cable, spliced into the middle
