HID H3's question...
I bought some h3 HID's for a family member . Come to find out that when I looked in the box the h3's are about 1/2 taller and they have 2 wires just off the bulb. One is Red and the Other is black... both with male connectors. But the OEM harness only had one female connector. What the hell does the other go to?

Now that ballest will work with these no problem.. but I'm confused on what the other male connection goes to. Unless it's a ground. But why would it need a ground? The OEM harness doesn't have a ground there that I remember.

Any help is appreciated.

perhaps this helps? guy had to get a new pigtail for h3, and splice into the 9006 harness.

That really doesn't really tell me anything... that's b15 wiring. B14 looks different from that. But I appreciate the help...

red is power, black is ground. Yes the oem h3 bulb only has one wire (male) but it gets its ground from the metal on the lamp housing itself. You will need to cut the factory socket and there should be a power and ground wire. Just connect those to the hid bulb. You can cut the male connectors to do this.

I think I see what your saying.... It's been awhile since I have looked at the fog housing. Thanx for the info.
