Thread: starting issues

so i just got back from autozone where i had two alternators and two starters tested. all four items were good.

my car cranks and the solenoid is good and strong, but the starter cranks really slow, as if it has little to now power even with a good battery/full charge. i tested the voltage at starter power terminal and i'm getting equal power there and at the battery.

anyone have any idea?

and what resistance am i supposed to be seeing on the ground side?

Yah ground is the next thing I'd check. Honestly I have no idea what resistance you should be seeing. I think I've seen 10 Ohms on mine (battery in trunk, measured from negative battery pole to intake manifold ECU ground site). No clue if that's good or bad. *shrug*
