Oh and I've been using MDF mounting rings for a long time as well, latex house paint makes them almost 100% waterproof, is cheap as hell and they will last forever.

^^^Not sure what you mean Matt. The sound comes out of the grills that are built into the factory door panels.

I already have a set of "newer" Diamond D6 6.5"s that I was going to put in the rear deck, and my Boston 5 1/4" components will probably go in the rear panels... unless you think you can help me fit them into the front doors.. then I will just go with those two sets of speakers..

and I wouldn't really need to purchase any more..

Well, give me a month or so and I'll take off some day during the week and you can come by and we'll do it before you have to go to work. That does mean you'll have to get up before 2:30 pm though........

I put a layer of deadner over the MDF panel as well. The panel was just to seal up the huge opening in the door and give the deadner something to stick to.

MDF rings FTW. I sealed my MDF with Thompsons Water Seal.
