Thread: Alternator upgrade

I know ive read somewhere that the B15 (2001) SR20DE 100amp alternator will bolt in to a b13 to replace the 80amp.

Ive been searching but cant find it.

Anyone confirm?

I have a b15 on my 96 ser and it fits fine, I have a b13 and a b14 sitting in my garage, they look identical, you should have no problem

So the plugs on the alt's are the same too?

Plugs are the same, I've done this swap in both my B13's. BTW, the B15 alty is 90 amps per the label on it.

P11 Alts are 90 amp also.

Anything better than a 90 amp one?

advanceauto lists the b15 as a 100amp, but everyone says its 90.

happynole found one for a g20 thats 150amp (i think)

I dont think his website is finished (unless he gave up on imports) But the first alternator i got from him was awesome. The second one i got wasnt.
So i gave up on it.

When you find a HO alty more than likely all you'll be lucky to get is a 90 day warranty.
