AMP decision, send it out to get refreshed or buy new?
I have a Kenwood KAC 744 that I had since about 94. I paid over $399 for it back then. I have sent it back to Kenwood once in the early 2000's. It is time to go back and my right channel is shorting out at the RCA output:

Now provided the specs below, should I replace or repair? Repair usually runs around $75.00 plus parts, which are usually listed at like .5cents etc. LOL
Max power output
4 Channel Mode 80w x 4
3 Channel Mode 80w x 2 + 160w
2 Channel Mode 160w x 2
RMS Output
4 Channel Mode 40w x 4
3 Channel Mode 40w x 2 + 110w
2 Channel Mode 110w x 2
Or replace it with an Alpine MRP F300. (I am budget minded)
Amplifier Specifications
Amplifier Class AB
Number of Channels 4
RMS Power (4 ohms) 50 watts x 4 channels
RMS Power (2 ohms) 75 watts x 4 channels
RMS Power (1 ohm) N/A
Bridged RMS Power 150 watts x 2 channels
Total RMS Power Output 300 watts
Peak Power Output 150 watts x 4 channels approx.
I am running it as a 4 channel with a Kenwood KAC 823 running off the signal from the 3 RCA set.
