B14 ecu harness in a B13
How difficult would it be to put the B14 harness in the b13 ? Would this be a pain in the ass to do with the engine in the car? Would this be plug and play or does the harness need modifications in certain sections? Any help in this area I would be very thankful.

I do know I will need the b14 distrubutor and MAF. Maybe a B14 injector harness I am not sure.

B14's are OBD2. B13's are OBDI. IIRC OBD2 = more sensors, that's why people get those OBD2 ->1 stepdown harnesses for easier DET installs. I'm intrigued though, because I was debating whether to make this switch myself.

Next to the ecu plug there are 3 white connectors what are those and do they need to be hooked up? Help me figure this out.

Section 1:

1. Ecu plug
3. random white connectors. (??????)
1. Relay plug

Section 2:

1. throttle position sensor plug
2. intake manifold grounds

Section 3:

1. random grey plug with 8 slots (????)
1. knock sensor plug
1. idle air control plug
1. random brown 2 prong plug (?????)
1. random grey 2 prong connector (?????)

Section 4:

1. Mass airflow sensor plug
1. air flow temp sensor

Section 5:

1. O2 sensor plug
1. random grey connector 5 prong plug (?????) <--seems like it goes to the engine harness.
1. distribitor coil plug
1. another distributor plug (large)

On the B14 you have 3 connectors and on the B13 you will have only 2. You have to switch the wires around so that you have the correct car side connections. I did the opposite, i took the B13 harness and put it in my B14. Either way you will have fewer wires on one side of the harness, in your case you will have extra wires on the engine side that will go to nothing. Its easy if you have the correct manuals.

Squirls I am assuming your talking about the connectors from section 1 right?

Yes, depending on what sensors you are using (OBDI or II) you will have to swap some connectors. The maf, dizzy, ECU coolant temp, car side, and engine bay harness side are different. What ends up happening is that you have to tear down the harness you are converting and make sure you have the correct plugs at the correct locations.

It is tedious but well worth it to me.

Since you have a B14 do you happen to know what those connectors are with the question marks next to them in the post above # 3 off the top of your head.?

I know the 8 pin goes to your other sensors like speedo, cluster temp, reverse, ect. The 2 pin brown i think is for EGR solinoid, and gray might be another for the EGR, i will check the FSM and verify.
