AMP and speakers problems
need help deciding on what to go with. I will be getting a small 8" rockford fosgate punch PS148.


What do you guys think i would get......... What are you guys running?

I love JL's to hell and back but god are they still pricey. I'm actually looking at a new budget project with this

I know wayne. Jl was cheap back in the day when they did not build their own stuff. I know stillwater designs(kicker) built subs for jl and so did Rockford fosgate. At that time there were only three manufactures of speakers in the US.

Wayne have you ever stuffed a 8" sub into a dual chamber tri tuned box. The box is tricky but you can take a piece of crap sub and stick 50watts to it and it will sound like a 12"

It not a transmission line box. It a dual chamber band pass. The front chamber gets two ports tuned to different freq's and the rear has one port tuned to another. Takes up lots of space but can sound good. We used to take crappy mtx subs from truck boxes and stick them in. Transmission line boxes are also fun to play with.

off the top of your head what size are the speakers in front and rear?
