Battery Light on?!?!?
So today on my way to an interview my battery light turned on and kept turning on/off really fast but stayed on the whole time the car was on. At the same time the battery light was going on and off I heard a clicking sound from the fuse box.

I've been driving my car in the city like this today. Since my positive terminal has an L.E.D. voltage reader it was indicating 12.xx low or mid 12's. So I ended up taking my 99 p11 battery (since its not in use) to autozone and couldnt get a reading cause its fully drained out. Good thing it was still under warranty from pepboys. Im an autozoner shopping at pepboys lolz ha (I bought the bosch battery before I was employed by autozone years ago). I got it swapped out woot woot. I tested my b13 battery as well and it came out as a good battery and gave it a test twice.

So I put the new battery from my p11 and the battery light still on......man wtf? I'm in a tight budget and gonna be driving to vegas in 2 weeks.

I have read a few threads with similar problem and theyre all are saying its the alternator. Is my alternator going bad or its bad already?

hehehe. I tested it again earlier this evening and voltage from the alternator is below 13. On my lunch break tomorrow I'll take it off and put it on duratester. well see what happens.

No brainer. If your voltage is below 13VDC with the alternator running, you have a bad alternator. Charging voltage is around 14.6VDC, and non-charging nominal voltage is around 13.4~13.6

Thanks for the info, I can use this info when I test and sell batteries or alternators to customers.

Well took no more than 5mins to take off that alternator, lol. tested it twice on the duratester and failed both times, So I bought a new one and slapped it on there.

Turned on my car but battery light still was on, so I was tripping out and getting frustrated. I turned it off right away and then turned it back on but none of my dash lights, stereo, rear tail lights, turn signals weren't working. The only lights that work are my h.i.d headlights and my 4fog lights.

I checked all my fuses under the dash with my fuse tester they're working fine.

What's going on now with my electrical system?
