Did you torqued the bolt thru the sensor to 26nm?

But I have my knock sensor bolted to my intake manifold right now, just for experimenting. It doesn't seem to make any difference whether it is plugged in or not.

calum deletes the knock sensor as well.

just to throw some thoughts in a little. i was throwing a knock sensor code like crazy and it wound up being that my engine ground was toast so id just grab a volt meter find a good ground and hook it up? no expert opinion here. just throwin out ideas.

Read this link. It says it should be 500K ohms, not .5 ohm.

I will try it and see, its tough since my CEL flashes on and off and never stays on. I also am not driving it but a quick lap should tell me.

well i checked the sensor again and it says .500 m ohms.. also went to autozone to just see what its going to be and it also was .500 m ohms... i dont get what i am doing wrong or if even the sensor is bad.. does anyone have a ks laying around they can check for me??

OMG i was looking at the pinout wrong!!!!!!! thanks to all that helped me. right now its just connected to a ground, when my gaskets come in i will be replacing it. instead of pin 54 on the wiring ecu i was looking at it from the harness side. live and learn

back from the dead.... looking for an update. I'm throw knock sensor codes like crazy. Bought a new ks. checked the wiring (looks a little sketchy in places). Thinking about running a new wire. Did you ground it to the bottom or the second connector? Did you run a shielded wire or a regular one? Answers would be much appreciated.

First I would check if your new sensor is good check the resistance if that's good then it might be a harness problem. Get a meter/dmm and check for continuity from the sensor clip to the engine harness where it meets the main harness left side of valvecover. You should read something other then OL or 0. If that's good then check from ecu to the engine harness, mine was the ecu harness so I just ran a wire from the ecu to the engine harness. Hope this makes sence
