i noticed the same thing happening to my dr side too. what i narrowed it down to was the connection coming out of the ballast. the clip one that connects the bulb to the ballast. maybe i'll try hardwiring it, cuz while the lights were on i wiggled the wire going into the plastic plug and it would flicker and sometimes shut off.

try the easy stuff first, ground is always a biggie. test from your positive battery post to where you have been grounding them. i am not sure of the voltage range on your kit but most likely it won't operate below 10 or so. then if that works out try switching everything side to side to narrow it down. mine where screwy for awhile till i got a decent ground on them.
another question. when i turn my hid's on the driver side is the right color(8000k), and the passenger one turns into a yellow halogen color after 2 seconds. is it the ballast or bulb? i finally put the hid's back in my car and they have less than 3 hours of use on them period.
