Thread: afc neo 0.o

quick question. on AFC neo's, i have looked up multiple wiring charts for multiple cars. and they all seem to use only about 9 wires. but the harness for the afc has 15 wires..

do i really just wire up the - 2 ignition - RPM - Throttle Signal - Ground1 - Ground2 - Karman output - Karman Input - Illumination Power wires?

it seems like that would be sufficient, but i just feel iffy about leaving wires loose.

i have safc2 and didnt use 3 wires.....

look in the book that came with it? IIRC, you only need the RPM, MAF in/out, throttle, power, ground.. dont think im missing any. I skipped on the illumination i think. I dont even remember anymore lol.

ok... i've found out that the extra wires are NOT needed. they are for VTM signal, vtec input, vtec output, and for twin maf applications.

now the only thing i need to figure out is if i wire it for an airflow and pressure application or for a karman signal application.

if anyone could just tell me which of the two to use i can wire this baby up!!!

airflow, not karman.

karman is a flap which moves based on airflow. You want hotwire 1in1out on the settings. It's just a cut in the MAF wire and it goes in and then back out of the SAFC. Pressure sensor is for if you are using a mass air pressure sensor, which we are not. We are mass airflow sensors.
