Thread: installed my trunk/hatch pop today

just wanted to add a nice little upgrade today,, using my old DEI alarm(rattler) I grabbed some new parts off the wall and now I have hatch pop by the key fob and can still use my cable if needed ,,,

in order to do this on the NX I could find only 1 spot that would even come close to working without making a piece to mount and then screw to the back somewhere...

I used one of the taillight bolt/nut and had to add 1 little screw in the second hole,, had to make sure I wasn't screwing into the taillight itself,.,

after looking at this for several minutes I felt it was the best spot and the awesome part is it fit right in the back behind the factory rear interior cover without touching

BIGGEST THING TO WATCH OUT FOR is make sure you don't use an actuator that is more than a 15lb pull !!!!!!!! ,, or you will rip you latch assembly OFF LMFAO.. and even at that becarefull where you mount it!!

was able to utilize my old cheap DEI alarm because pretty much old or new DEI alarms can interchange without having to replace with a current model..

tapping into the trunk pop wire ,, hehe
