Thread: accessory issue 0_o

just today my car started cutting in and out, accessory wise.

like. i started my car and my power locks wouldnt work, windows, gauges, blinkers, etc. but after driving for about 15 seconds, they all cut on.

then after i parked and turned the car off, it all cut out again. i checked the accessory fuse (bottom left) and its good. im lost/frustrated.


any ideas???

grounds give them a check. alternator could be going, im just throwing ideas out there

same thing this morning. started it, let it run for about 2 minutes. shook some connections, clips, grounds. still no accessories. drove it for about 5 or 10 minutes and, as if i wished it to be, everything *click* started working. gauges popped up, head unit turned on, windows started working, blinkers worked, blower, etc.

but once again... as soon as i turned the car off, (not completely off, just engine off with accessory on) none of it worked again.

im contemplating getting a new harness... or selling it >=\/

i think i got this thing pinned.

the connecter on the battery that runs from the alternator was loose. so i cut it and wired it to a loop connecter for a more solid connection.

also the battery relay for some reason was a 50 amp, when the cover says it should be a 75 amp. and on the 50 amp it had a little black bubble spot where it looks like it got really hot. so i ran up to advance and got a 60 amp (they didnt have anything higher) for the time being.

hasnt given me any trouble since. all of my accessories have been consistantly working.
