Here ya go, search donsbulbs MAIN PAGE - rare specialty bulbs projector lamps for
H4-100W-80W-12V
prices vary A LOT - the specific link I saved says sold out, but there are 30 other links there, some are $33/each, some less, I don't have time to go through them
also caveat not legal for road use in 50 states
but seriously never a problem with well adjusted lights, been running these in my U13/B13's for years w/o any issues at all.

Oh and btw if you're ok with 65W/85W or 100W, etc there are a lot more. I just was coming from HID's i didnt like too, I live where streetlights dont exist. I wanted max light. 65W/80W would be plenty for most people.

Also note this is all new unopened old stock (NOS) - so what he has changes a lot. It's mostly OSRAM but holy crap look at the cross reference list:

Two obvious things you need to do if you're running the 80w bulbs:

1. Upgrade the wiring harness, so that you run power directly from the battery and use a relay for switched power.

2. Re-aim your headlights correctly so as not to blind everyone in opposing traffic!

If you've ever been hit by someone's incorrectly aimed Hella 500's you'll know why I say to re-aim them. Your night vision will be all but SCREWED until your eyes can re-adapt.

Check. Wiring from the relay to the headlights is heavier gauge than OEM. Because however I am using relays, there is no need to worry about wiring upstream e.g the wiring back to the switch, that's somewhat the point of using relays.

Absolutely, there's no excuse for not doing this, a wall and screwdriver are all you need. Well, and it's helpful to know the right height at distance from the FSM you're shooting for

Well, I will say the same for most AM HID kits, putting them into even the Tsuru housings w/o modification sure throws a lot of light, but not a focused beam. That's why I switched back - sure I could see great with the HID's but I had to be blinding every driver who didn't think to look away.

Problem is, that is an issue that short of aiming them at the ground, it ain't going away.

Also a habit I've had for so long is simply look toward the fog line for a second when some asshat comes at you. People tend to stare into poorly aimed lights because it catches your attention that something doesn't look right. Just that one small thing completely saves your night vision w/o any safety issues.

To me that decision depends heavily on where you live. No streetlights where I live, and personally I want to see that deer at the edge of the road before she walks into the road, and stock wattage absolutely sucks for country driving.

I could live with the low beam wattage, but 65W high beam? No way. Too rural, too remote, and way too many animals out at night wandering the road. I don't think you can honestly drive much over 40-45 mph on an unlit rural road and not be overdriving your stock headlights.

I've already had one Ninja Dog attack my car, and he did enough damage. Hitting a deer, that really ruins your day in a B13.

+1 - I had to get a replacement bulb for my '03 RAM QC 1500, all the store had was Xtravisions in any bulb better than stock. It's a clear bulb, and lower price, and even at standard stock wattage is noticeably brighter than OEM at least in that vehicle.

I still stick with Euro "leftovers" for the 100W/80W setup for the B13's however, you're already so low to the road and smaller than almost everything else out there, I feel I really need that level of light to see well enough. Night vision however varies widely from one person to another, so YMMV.

Any higher output Halogen bulb tends to have a shorter life in usage, so that's just something I live with. I get a year or so out of a set, that's good enough for me. Driving with 450/350 lbs-in springs on my CO's isn't helping that, headlight bulbs really do not like jarring impacts. I've come back from more than one trip to the track with a burned out headlight because the filament broke while not even in use. Well, actually I carry spares, so when I noticed it was out changed it.
