Start with pulling out the OEM relay and check under it and under the condition of the wires coming out the bottom. Since you have no light on just one side very likely the ground is gone. The fuse can be good and the thing it plugs into may not be all good. It's got to be where the wires from the two sides come together, or a break in just one wire on one side. Time to pull out the MM and check for continuity.

^Dang I wish I would have known this Monday. I guess I'll be ordering another set. The 194's that I got didn't cost much. Are the 921's are a lot brighter?

^Option 1

^Option 2

^What you think about these? I guess option 1 would be better if they are that much bigger. I picked up a set of option 2 before I saw your post, but I might get a set of option 1 if they can do that much of a better job.

^I'm going to do this and report back.

Definetly brighter expecailly if you get LED ones because you can fit more LED lights on the 921/912 over the 194.

^Just picked up 2 sets of the 921's. I'll just use the 194 LED bulbs I purchased on my side markers .

^Thanks for the help man. I finally installed the smoked tsuru's I bought from you like 2 years ago lol.

This is caused by the Headlamp/Turn signal switch on the steering column.
After many years of use, the switch accumulates alot of dust & dirt. Cleaning it fixes the problem 95% of the time.
But in very few cases, the switch terminals short out and the unit must be replaced (you will see/smell the burn spots switch).
See this link to Test & Clean the Headlamp/Turn signal switch.

wow at no point did anyone mention PIAA??

seems like they've lost all their aftermarket followers in the past few years. dad shouldn't have sold it.. damn!

miko, if you haven't bought any bulbs yet, i have an entire display case of PIAA bulbs that i'm trying to blow out and i can make you a killer deal on a pair.

I remember a while back comparing fog lights, PIAA's vs FET CATZ, and the CATZ were much better quality and cheaper! They also went out of business.

PIAA are really nice bulbs, no doubt. Ive owned several sets over the years. They are fairly pricey though. If their sales are declining, it's probably due to the falling prices of HID equiptment.

So sqd, your family owned PIAA? That's pretty sweet.

Searched headlight, lamp, and bulb in thread titles only....

Found this other thread by Amazing Asian:

http://www.sr20-forum.com/general-sr20/3963-silverstars.html

Cannot find the information I am looking for.

I've got a '93 Classic which has 2003 MDM Tsurus installed, and outfitted with an HID kit.

I am un-doing the HID kit and going back to regular bulbs. The HID kit does not have a low and high beam. Just "on". In Houston, no big deal, I never got "flashed" by other drivers. However, out in the country on two lane un-lighted roads, I am getting flashed quite often. I do not want to be "that guy" and it is unsafe if I am blinding other drivers.

Therefore back to a regular bulb and working high and low beams.

What lamps should I buy for my 2003 MDM Tsurus in my '93 Classic?

Does it take H4's?

Are the Silverstars still recommended, and will they work just fine in the Tsuru assemblies?

Thanks!

Yes, h4 or 9003 will work and are the same. Silverstars are great, but the bulb life not so much. Maybe try adjusting and pointing the headlight down more before buying new bulbs? If you like the HID look, maybe getting another kit that has the hi/low function.
