It looks to me like the stock b13 ser speakers in my 1992 sentra are 5 1/4th. But I read everywhere that people use 6.5's. How are you guys fitting 6.5's in a 5 1/4th hole without modification?
dude seriously stalk ebay, I bought a DIVX pioneer digital media center with sirius kit for 200 bucks and Best Buy was still selling just the head unit in store for 549.00 I love a fuked up economy and the deals that can be had.

The stock speaker is mounted on a 6.5 plate. So the original hole is 6.5
I don't seem to have a plate over my speakers.. There is just the stock metal sheet from the actual door frame. Would I need to purchase a plate to make the 6.5's mountable?

Post a picture of what your door looks like? Before I knew you could do 6.5's this is what I did. I cut out the 4x6 and put in a 4" Component setup from MB Quart this was back in 99 now Im going back in this week and replacing with a full 6.5
Just not sure what 6.5's I want to go with, I know they cant be too deep.
