Thread: what belt to use?

i'm taking out my power steering and was curious if anyone knows what belt to use? it's gotta be alot smaller then the one that was on there..

can't find any posts on removing the power steering and what belt they used to replace it =\

best thing to do really is when you take the pump off, put some tape around your pullies, take it back off and measure it, then just go down to your local factors and say you want a xxx length belt. unless someone has actually done this and knows the size you need

just take the old one and check the part number usually they have something like 4PK1030
where...
4PK = means 4 stripes.
1030 = the long of belt.

i think that is 1035 or 1040. the tensor of the belt is by an unique bolt that have a another cap for be able to push instead of pull so the belt is going to tight by pushing the power steering pump.
