Thread: rim and tyre combo for a gti-r for 1/4 mile drag racing

hey guys need some help in selected the correct rim and tyre combo drag racing what are some of u guys using my car is at 475 awhp looking to enter in the 11seconds bracket any help would be welcomed thanks

What combination is on there now?

I have on normal street tires now 16/205/45 but I have not run the car on the track yet

from what others have recommended, they suggest a 24.0 - 24.5" diameter , 8.5" wide, and 15" wheel

Wow why so serious..... I've seen 15 rims wrapped in drag radial hold for the 11 sec class.... Has this box been re-enforced? Gears hardened? Have u had experience with this kind a box launch wise? It's a 4wd with a not so strong box.... Better to break traction than box...
