Need a M12x1.75 Time Sert Kit
Does anyone have a Time-Sert 4900 Kit they could do without for a few days? I'll pay shipping both ways, but I don't want to drop $450 on a kit when I'll only need it once.

Any help is appreciated. It's for a GTiR... so I assume this would be the right (M12x1.75) kit.

Thanks!

That would be great. I'm hung up on whether I should do the time-serts or just helicoil it. I just worry about the torque (80+ pounds) on a helicoil.

What do you need to rethread? If it is something structural, I would highly recommend Time sert. Here is a kit on amazon for 90. TIME-SERT M12 X 1.75 Metric Thread Repair Kit 1217 : Amazon.com : Automotive

Head bolt threads. Started stripping at 70# and a small amount of the threads came out when I backed the head stud out. I was however able to screw the stud back into the hole and torque to 80# on a second go...

I have to replace the metal hg I used with an OEM style one today. I'm hoping that I'll be able to get away with not having to timesert or helicoil the hole for now. It's not too much work to change a HG on our motors, so I'm willing to give it a go and compression test before I go through all of that expense.
