Picture Request
Can anybody post a good picture of the throttle cable bracket the GTi-R uses? Ever picture I've found is either too small/too far away to tell, or has the intercooler on top and blocks the view.
Thanks,
Nate

I'm back at work in Antarctica for the season. If you need anything I am selling or a step-down harness please be patient as we do not get access to the internet often.
If you’re curious about the field camp I'm at this year Google "Pine Island Glacier" or check out the weather cams we have set up there (Cam A & Cam B). Yes, I know its nothing but snow and flat white, welcome to my world...

Any pictures are helpful guys. Tooqikk - that would be great! I'm just looking for new ideas on how to mount mine out of the way.
The bracket I made to attach to my VC when I put the intake plenum on puts my throttle cable right above my oil filler cap, so I have to bent/remove the bracket every time I want to add oil. It's super annoying.
Thanks for the pics so far!

Yah after seeing all those pictures my first thought was "what would I do to get that thing hidden?"
Have you considered running the cable down along the "back" of the block under the intake manifold by the starter and then have it come up between the intake runners of cylinders 1 and 2 and make a bracket that shares one of the bolts around there? Point the cable directly up at the hood, and have it wrap around the drum that way. I don't know if it could be done with the stock cable (because the sheathing is too long?), but it could probably be done easily with a universal cable.
Another idea. You could mount a small pulley somewhere in front of the drum but still behind the valve cover and mount the cable backwards on top of the intake manifold. Make a bracket to hold it back there, and have the cable come forward towards the valve cover then go around the pulley and back into the TB drum.
Yah I'd be worried about that too. You might be able to solve that somehow. Maybe as simple as some electrical tape on the cable that you check and replace every once in a while or slightly bending the drum to avoid any sharp contact, etc.

I shortened my stock cable and ran it around the back so its a much cleaner look.
