Very cool, the separation of the gear stacks under high torque is one of the reasons these transmissions fail so often.

More likely it is because those in the islands who can actually afford to build cars like this do so. In the states most people who can afford this kind of work put it into something like a supra. More of a cultural issue than an issue of knowledge or development.

Back in the islands they have cars that are way better than what we get here. They get cars straight from Japan that we only wish we could get. Those guy don't mind spending to get what they want. My brother sells parts back home and those guys never try to beat down on prices. A lot of those guys are better off than you think and these are regular guys not only the rich ones. My cousin has like three skylines and the one that he races is not done by trial and error. That car is tuned over the internet by some guy in New Zealand.
