Oh God... That would take a while to explain. As far as power mods go, I'll try to boil it down.

No. Stock 9.5:1 compression, stock pistons, rods, head gasket, head bolts, etc.
The block was never opened. Only the upper oil pan removed to drill the block for turbo oil return.

A lot of attention to detail, and some seriously aggressive tuning.

Well, I made 150 WHP N/A before I slapped the turbo on. 11 psi was good for 153 WHP more, so 153/11 = 14 WHP per psi, so I might see 56 more WHP going to 15 psi. That's assuming the turbo stays efficient, which I know it won't. Can't get around the fact that the T28 turbo just won't do much more than 325 WHP. You might be able to get to 350 WHP or so, but that'd be upwards of 20 psi and a lot of heat to deal with.

Yes, it is a GTi-R T28 (not a S15 T28). They are single ball bearing I think? I've never been good at knowing which turbos had which bearings.

The stock gtir T28 is a journal bearing turbo not a ball bearing turbo sure it isn't a disco potato? I just don't see 350 on a gtir T28.

Okay, well that's what I have. A stock GTi-R turbo with a journal bearing.

Maybe not, but crazier things have happened. With some water/meth injection, or E85 I'm sure it could be done. I don't think it would be smart, but it could probably be done.

wow thats pretty good then you must have some very very fine tuning although you are running a standalone right...so I guess they is alot more potential that way to fine tune your car.

look at daveracers old set up with the t28 and external gate. 350 is attainable out of the stock turbo. but only with an external gate and 100oct or better.

What about a divorced internal gate? =P

ahh okay I see now, yeah I guess when you add an external gate and 100 oct you can get 350, my only worry from there would be effciency of the turbo at high boost and pressure on the engine
