-As for throttle cable...we shortened it to fit (on B13) IF you have to modify/route diffrently...its not hard and nothing to worry about.
-As for switches MSD 8969 jegs.com
Proberly a couple more odds and ends Im not saying. (its 5am)

What ECU are you gonna be running? If your gonna run a stock ECU with DE injectors and MAF in the VE...I wouldnt even put it in until you have the computer. There will be no reason to run the VE like that.(I read where you said "Since Im not getting the Calum ECU YET") It is the BEST bang for the buck...so Id go with it.QUOTE]

I have everything except the harness and ecu. I'm not getting the Calum ECU right now, cuz I just want to get my new car running. I'll purchase the Calum later, along with the switches. I'm just looking for definitive answers to my questions. There's a lot of speculation and misinformation on the forums and I'm just trying to get all the answers.

I'd rather not use and cut a DE dizzy if the VE can be rewired. If somebody can point me to the wiring diagram and/or how to, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I'm going from GA16DE to SR, though I do have the clutch mounting bracket. I just wanted to verify that the cable will work.

That's what I figured. I'm trying to get a the dash harness off the same forum member that I'm getting the ecu and engine/tranny harness, but he's reluctant to pull the dash to get the dash harness and I don't blame him. It still doesn't change the fact that I NEED that harness...

does anybody have the wiring diagram for the ve dizzy so I can rewire it? the links in the ve faq's are dead links. I need to know what goes to what it the '96 se-r harness and what the extra two-wire harness is for and where to wire it to.

pics and or explanation from someone who's done this to their b14 would be greatly appreciated.

I did my conversion about 5 yrs ago,

to avoid headaches and problems i did the following

1. have a donor car, all parts necessary will come from it, if you can source one.

2, buy good parts , you will be thankfull when your not buying stuff twice.

3. you will need to remove your dash and install the dash harness , this is a long process but very straight foward if you have comon sense.

4. if your doing a straight swap clean your engine bay once motor is out, some people paint i just degreased and scrubbed.

5. please dont put A 100k plus sr20 motor, get a low mile one.

i have pics of my process some where, i dont recomend splicing harnesses and wires, its sloppy .

do it right the first time.

Jen36 has a B13, they are different. For B14's you NEED to swap the dash harness to use the SER cluster. I am not sure if the GA cluster will work with the GA harness though, never tried. I also had a complete donor car so i had no issues or reasons to try it any other way.

I want to just rewire the ve dizzy, cuz I don't want to buy another disibutor... I can't find one at work, and i'm not about to spend the money for a new one. I already have the ve in my garage, and I just want to get the car running. obviously, you can rewire it or it say to do so in the faq.

does anyone have a tps sittin around?

on the B14 the clusters are totaly diffrent. red line , alarm, etc.
A complete harness is required.

On the B13 the cluster of the SE will work , but again the redline is diffrent,
also the B13 uses a mechanical speed sensor while the B14 is electronic.

The donor way is the best way, hands down.

Dont try to re wire it , save yourself the haedache as mentioned.
find a harness
