Couple things changed, ECU's and Vapor Canisters (Charcoal Canister). The 98/99 also has the valve ontop of the Intake Manifold.

Since I'll be installing a 96 ECU after it gets Calumized, I would like to not just block off all of the 99 emissions things but make them work with my new motor/ECU.

Right now the purpose of the Vapor canister is to store extra gas tank gases and push them to the intake manifold. When you start the car the valve on top of the manifold closes so no more gas tank gases would get sucked in.

If I just block if off or vent it, that would be gas vapors that could be used in the engine, being ventilated. Thus worse gas mileage etc. hehe



98 FSM is the same as the 99 one.

I'm also removing the old woe out and shot sr20 in the 96 se-r. I've removed a lot of the hoses which I assume are for emissions. Then again i'll be running a haltech with the car so I doubt that it will be of any use to have all that stuff plugged into the new jdm engine that I'm putting in there.

The 95-97 uses one manual for the 200sx/sentra. Download it and check, its actually 'Sentra/200sx' and has both GA and SR sections.

BTW I just shipped out my ECU, should be there within 5 days, it will be a Rosetta Stone box, but don't get too excited it's nothing more then just the ECU

And Calum is the man. The 96 FSM had both the SR's and the GA's.

The problem is the whole system is completely different and now I am worries that I might need to buy an old school Vapor canister etc.
