Well its already that time of the year again. Because of the difficulties with last years calendars, I believe another member has offered to dedicate their time to get these produced this year. Plans are not 100% solidified yet, but I figured we should get the ball rolling... so I will now start taking forum calendar photo submissions. See following list requirements for all images:

Submission Requirements:

·Optimum picture size is at least 2400 pixels wide.
Anything under 1800 pixels wide cannot be used, and will be DQ'd.

Deadline for submission, October 31st

•You must own the rights to the image (no copy written images)

•Must be Forum related (IE SR20 Powered car etc..)

•You must include your forum username, your real name, information about the photograph (IE what year car, mods etc..)

•I plan to have photos of owners on the same spread as their cars, so people submitting should be prepared to send a photo of themselves.

•The quality of the printing will be very high, but custom calendars are not available this year. Every calendar will look the same.

• The calendar will be fold-out 11x17 spread for each month.

•The calendar will be printed with card stock glossy covers, saddle stitched (stapled spine), and shrink wrapped.

•2 photo submission max...anymore will get discarded.

•*Do not crop or photoshop the image. I will handle color-correcting and cropping. Over-processed images usually end up being too dark and muddy.

•Must contain no water marks or other images over the picture.

•No, we will not pay you to use your image

All submissions should be sent via email to me at the following address either sent as attachments directly, or a link to an image hosting service (ie photobucket etc...)
The subject of the email must be '2009 Forum Calendar Image Submission'

Failure to follow the above rules will automatically DQ your submission.

At some point in the future we will cast a vote for your fav images that will make it for the calendar.

Thanks
Stephen

How can I verify my image sizes meet the requirements?
Windows:
Generally with windows you can right click on the image and select properties. Then go to the Summary tab. There should be Properties labeled Width and Height that you can look at to verify the image size. For print, a Width value of 1800 is the minimum that can be used.

Since we had a few members submit valid images, we're going to pick which images from each of these members and for-go the voting. This should cut the lead time down between now and when we can get the calendars into your hands.

We're also looking for additional images of cars that may be featured in the calendar that do not have to be at the huge resolution we previously were requiring for the full page images. If you previously submitted an image of your car and was told is it did not meet the print size requirements, I've already submitted those images for this.

If not, submit your images to the address listed in the first post.

*** UPDATED ***

It is too late to submit your images, Here is the teaser shot for the upcoming calendars:

Thanks
Stephen

This is most important:

Optimum picture size is at least 2400 pixels wide.
Anything under 1800 pixels wide cannot be used, and will be DQ'd.

Sweet.

So what if the picture is taken with the owner standing next to the car?

If we run submissions until October 31, then take pre-orders until November 31, I think I'll be able to ship these out by Christmas..
