Naw, i don't want to lower it. Why fix something that's not broken. Like I said, I can race her hard as hell for an hour or so and she has never gone higher then 98°C (about 208.5°F, and when my fans seem to kick on). Thank you though. I have heard Water Wetter is a proven product.

This is more of a general thread for people to look back and learn from. It was just a random question I had that when I searched pulled nothing up. Though, I do think its funny (and sort of odd) that our cars have about a 30° range of "normal operating temperature".

But keep it up people, this is intresting.

For the record I am running an NX2k rad, a nismo thermo & rad cap, and one stock rad fan and this is on a GTi-R engine w/ stock t28 at 12.5psi normally.

Regular driving temp is 180*F, idling temp is 190*F-210*F.

Once I did the TB heater bypass, my normal driving temps increased to 190*F and idling temps stay around 200*F.

Now this is with 80*F - 90*F outside temps.

On a hot day, my VE is rock-solid at 172deg F at interstate speeds.
