Pulling motor question..
Can I pull the motor from the top with the tranny still on, I dont need to pull the motor all the way out just far enough to take the timing cover.

I think this has been done. Pull the pass side mount and the x-member and jack up the motor.

sure, through the top is fine, just get that gangsta lean on it

Well, I took mine out from the top (B15) and put the new one in the same way. Note that it was easier to take out than to put in, but it's doable.

i always pull motors from the top

Top is doable but very tight. It's ridiculously easy to do it all from the bottom, so if you just need to get at the timing cover, I'd recommend lowering it enough to get at it that way. That's how I went about it when I replaced mine. Get what you can while it's in normal position, then drop it to get those last 2 or 3 bolts.

you practically have to have the engine vertical to pull the tranny with the engine. It is very easy though.

If you haven't I suggest you remove the hood. It really helps the process.

anybody ever pull a GA motor
now that ****s easy lol, even has a factory spot to hook the lift

i guess they knew we would be taking it out lol
