This was NEW CRITICAL INFORMATION ! ! ! !

All of your problems is probably being caused by the Dizzy!! More accurate, the Camshaft position sensor...
Oil inside the dizzy screws up the internal cam position sensor signals to the ECU. Then, the ECU trys to adjust for it but cant, causing: crazy idle problems, hunting idle, timing issues, high idle, etc...

Its probably not your IACV ! ! ! I would fix the Dizzy first...

Change out your dizzy,
Run engine to reach operating temps and then put into timing mode,
Set your idle to 850-900 and then set your timing to the desired setting..
Now, take your car on a test run and then if necessary, adjust your idle minimally to remove any cam loping...

The new NGK wire set is not a wanna-be ! ! They are actually better than OEM ... You will love them..

You cannot do away with the IACV.. Its a REAL DUMB device and is just doing what the ECU tells it to do... Without it, you cant adjust your idle.. And currently the ECU is receiving crazy readings from the cam sensor, which causes the ECU to offset this by sending adjustments to the IACV & timing..

I would fix the dizzy first and see if its the culprit!!
And then check everything else...

LOL! Thanks. I'm still waiting on the dizzy to arrive. Once it does we'll see if the car's running any better. Still waiting on my damn NGK blues, too.

Why is your blues taking soo long?
We installed blues on Joel's NX yesterday. Got them in within a week...

He had a bad dizzy too (leaking oil inside) and a hissing vaccum leak on one of PCV hoses on the Intake Mani
(found by spraying carb cleaner around all hoses & all around the IM, while listening for idle increase).
The idle was very jumpy, and was impossible to set the timing or idle.
Changed the dizzy & applied the Wayne Cox dizzy slop fix/trick, replaced the pcv hose and the idle settled down completely.
Then we did a complete tuneup: NGK plugs, Rotor, Cap, PCV, NGK Blues, idle & timing (changed oil leaking vc spark plug gaskets too).

Now we have a smooth purring idle.
Give me a call...

Will do meng

I ordered the blues from the local shop here, to show my support for them. I know I could have ordered them myself and got them in a few days, but I love these guys like family. The more I spend time/money there, the more people are willing to spend their money there too.

LOL... Nope.. We were at Brad's house on Sat and he had a spare dizzy that we used on Joels NX.

Yours is either on my car or back in my parts traveling box... Cant remember which.. But, I do have a good one in my box for you..

Thanks for the conversation today, Scotty. Sorry, my phone was on the fritz, and shut itself down. Think I need to redo the custom firmware.
