NX totaled for good
I pulled off the intake tonight to get ready to sell it, and I figured I'd take the NX out for one last ride before I started parting it out.
Well, as luck would have it, some ass hat that was going the opposite way decides to make a left turn, right when I'm close by. I left 2 long tire marks right up to the point where I smashed into the car.
The NX has some heavy damage up front on the right side. It'll be totaled for sure.
Here's where it gets interesting, the car I ran into was a Civic, when I got the police report and read it over at home, it says Mazda, I even carfax'd the VIN for that car, and sure enough it says Mazda, so now I have to deal with the police to figure out what to do. I can't call the guy's insurance company and say I hit the Mazda, because I didn't.
And to make matters even worse, the guy driving the car wasn't the owner, so shortly after I get home, I get a phone call from the owner asking who's gonna fix his car. I told him thats for the insurance companies to work out. Ugh, this is gonna be an interesting one.
I'll take a few pics in the morning of the damage. Its pretty bad though, the slim fan got pushed up against the radiator.
