You should pass with your egg.. All your stuff is less than a year old...
Flow thru CATs will cause you to fail. Swapping it for a OEM cat is your best bet. I would find a 95+ OBDII OEM Cat, they burn emissions better; Plug the cat sensor bung with your old O2 sensor & tie-up the O2 connector to the cat bracket.

Lowering the timing to 13d, lowering the idle to 600, and changing the O2 sensor. You should then pass emissions maybe...
Ive only passed emissions ONCE ! ! Getting a DE to pass is hard!!
This is how I did it and was shocked when it worked...

Billc is having problems passing with his VE, which normally passes without problems. So who knows, also try another inspection place like recommended above...

You have to set the base timing with a timing light. The computer will not help since it always assumes base timing is 15* BTDC. If you set your timing back to 13* the main effect will be on NOX with a possible slight reduction in HC. Can't hurt anything (emissions-wise).

Are you doing an idle test? The numbers you are reporting don't look like the ones I'm getting from the inspection station from a roller test.

I still have not passed emissions myself. Maybe we can go to Erdman Ave together and get a group deal.

^^Agreed... I only use the computer to put the car into timing mode.. You can do the Nissan Rain Dance to accomplish that, then first set the idle lower and lastly changing the timing to 13d.

Your car is lowered and probably avoids the roller test... Thats a good thing!!
Changing the CAT will probably fix everything...

LOL... Stop posting when Im posting....

Anyhow, Im hoping to come up there tomorrow... I'll bring my laptop and we can get it ready for the emissions test...

Maybe $500 worth of emission parts/labor receipts or the Group Buy deal with Bill are cheaper alternatives to resolve this. Also talk to Jeff..

Make sure the car is good and hot when you get tested.

Retarding timing will also effect the other exhaust gas concentrations, as it drops the EGT and changes the equilibrium point for the water-gas shift reaction. I can prove it if you like but I don't feel like doing all that math right now haha.

But keep in mind I'm not trying to say they will necessarily change for the better, but they will change.

^^Yep agreed.. But Jenson's car is lowered and cannot do the roller test. He's only getting the sniffer test and NOx is not measured...
