MD guys emissions help!
ok guys this emission crap is getting on my nerves i just went a failed again.. here on my numbers for the first test. the first number is the state standerd and the second number is what i got




Hydrocarbons 220ppm 399ppm

Carbon Monoxide 1.20pct 1.70pct


second test





Hydrocarbons 220ppm 343ppm

Carbon Monoxide 1.20pct 1.77pct

what do you guys think. im going to change my o2 sensor change my high flow cat and exhaust back to stock and take my timing back to 13 degrees and go again... you guys think that would be enough

naw im not trying to go that route yet i wanna do it the legal way for right now if what i wanna try does not work then i might consider it.. i dunno what else to do if i fail again,...

i went down to erdman ave. andpassed after going to the one in Belair and failing 3 times. Md emissions testing is a joke, its just so they can make more money off of us!

i go to the one all the way up in elkton cause there is never a wait and i dont know were the one in belair is at

The one in Belair is less than 10 minutes from your shop off of 24

Correct me if I'm wrong but knocking timing back is for if you have too much NOx. It seems that MD doesn't test for those compounds.

Make sure the car is good and hot when you get tested.

i want to turn it back down because the emissions guy suggested it. i dont even know were its at right now so this will be a good time to check. also the reason why i drive 20 minutes away is to warm the car up
