Is it safe?
I'm in the middle of my swap and I want to clean up my engine bays while the motors are out. I'm worried about the harness being disconnected and something getting wet or shorting out. Should I tape up and cover anything or can I just go to town with Engine Brite and degreasers? Let me know. Thankx

Of course, I unhooked it from every sensor and pulled the motor. How else am I supposed to pull it?

I just got a mental picture of Dustin Hoffman having his teeth drilled into, one by one to expose the raw nerves.

"Issss it seff?"

"Arrrrrrggghhhh....yes, it's safe."

"I ask you again, issss it seff?"

"Arrrrrrggggghhhhh....no, it's not safe."

"Issss it seff?"

"Arrrrrrrggggghhhhh.....yes...no....I don't know what you're talking about."

Sorry, couldn't help myself. One of the most famous "villian lines" ever in a movie.

Good luck with your question. Make sure no one drills on your teeth.

Disconnect it at the ECU,it will go through the firewall and stay on the motor.

You should just do that now and put the harness on the new motor while it is out. Then you just drop it in ater cleanig the bay.
Just a suggestion

Ya know that crossed my mind but at the time I had already done it this way once so I figured I'd do it again. I will definitely be doing that tomorrow. Question though, my B13 has an e-manage wired into the harness. Does the harness disconnect before the ecu connector or would I have to pull the e-manage harness too? Thankx
