I'm telling you, twin scroll for the win. My buddy made more TORQUE at 5000rpm in his CELICA than my other friend made in his built 505 big block.

A well designed twin scroll setup will scare V8 drivers.

The problem comes when the V8 driver (Dan) has a couple of twin scroll units himself. =D

just stick the 480whp in a locost or something else tube frame and light weight.

Well, it depends on what the "big boys" have. Full-out race cars are not my forte. There are plenty of street-driven hondas around here that run low 10s. This is 4500ft elevation, mind you. Isn't that fast enough? Some don't make over 550whp.

True, a v8 will win in the war to be fastest. But for a street driven car, the appeal of the 4 cyl is there. Your v8 will never have traction. haha.

Don't ask Dan that...

Apparently the F20C ($5,000) will handle 300 WHP/liter* on pump gas with zero modifications. To be safe you can do a few things if you want to.

It's already RWD and will do 9k rpm from the factory.

I think I've found the new front runner.

If you haven't taken a look at the bottom end internals you should. It's a beast.

*Edit: 350 WHP/liter. See following posts.

So your saying a F20C will do 600 whp with no kind of build up. Interesting. I"m assuming they are dropping some low compression pistons. I wonder how long these motors are living and also how much boost is needed.

No, sorry. I was wrong. 700 WHP on a bone stock F20C engine has been done apparently. Internals are all forged from the factory.

You assume incorrectly. Most people use a thicker head gasket to lower compression but there are a handful of 600-700 WHP engines with absolutely no internal work at all. The internals are too good to get rid of.
