Thread: Catalytic Converter Questions

Will the OBDII physically fit in the same dimensions as the current catalytic converter? If it does, I'd be inclined to cut/re-weld the flanges to accept a newer cat. Only other issue is the rear o2 sensor fitting is different from OBD2 to OBD1. You'd need an o2 adapter in order to use your existing o2 sensor.

I think I could find an OBDII cat that would fit. My O2 sensor is mounted in the downpipe so I would just plug the hole for the second sensor in the cat since I'm OBDI.
