Releasing metered air into atmoshpere and sucking in unmetered air into the crank case will then leak to that unmetered air to get sucked into the PCV valve, then to the intake manifold and will make you run too rich or too lean.

The idea here is not to loose any metered air, and not to gain any unmetered air

Thanks

The idea is no where close to being my own, but I just didn't like the lack of pictures for the original thread.

After a lot of people asking me what was going on with the hoses in the Blow by thread, I decided to just post this up so that they could see how it works hehe.

So basically what you referred to as the oil separator is the catch can?

Yep, there are a few names that go around for it.

i took off the oil separator due to the Turbo being in the way and on my 200sx it was leaking from old impact damage so i took it off, can i still do this without having that?

Hey Vadim. What does your setup look like with the turbo? I'm curious.

Yes you can, I've been running without an oil catch can for about a month. The only thing is a little bit of oil is getting into the piping. It will vary depending on the amount of blowby your motor has.

I've about to redo it, but for now I've been running with no catch can. Basically it goes from the VC to back to the block but I have a T to the intake side the piping. So it helps reduce the blow by pressure. The only issue is it's sucking in a little bit of oil...

Nice Mr KGB, but, is there a way to do this and get rid of the ugly black box?

Yes. Use a VE valve cover.
