yeah....Scooby's rock my socks. I'd love an STI for a fun car and a Legacy 2.5 GT spec-B for a daily driver/road trip car.

I wouldn't mind one. For $70.000 I think is worth every penny.

People need to lose their superiority complex over Nissan and its past. Everything is compared to Nissan 15 years ago. Lets take the SR20 for example. When released, it was ahead of its time, no doubt about it..but now? hardly worth mentioning. I would not buy a new sentra or versa, I would however buy a new maxima or altima, or 350z. The VQ35 is still relatively new and its proven to outmatch the SR20. The technology is there! yea well who cares. Like someone mentioned earlier, the past is the past and we cant go back. The SR20 is still the **** in terms of budget building, but it cant be compared to the motors of today, so why bother? Some of you guys are just mad because youre haters. You drive 500$ cars and are talking down on cars that can stomp on you right off the factory floor.

I agree that it should have probably been the straight six we're used to. I agree that it looks loosely based on the 350Z (fairlady/skyline) platform....That's because it is LOOSELY based on that platform. I don't agree with the M3 idea, however. No matter how you want to look at it, All wheel drive IS BETTER than 2 wheel drive (either axle...doesn't matter). They kept the core of the GT-R in that respect. ATTESSA ET-S PRO was the best thing to ever happen to any Nissan EVER (with the exception of the SR20 of course) That said, who can argue that the Z06 is a better car? It's VERY cheaply constructed (I know, I've driven a couple), it's got a truck engine (cheap, but not purpose built) and it was designed to be a track slut. The new GT-R is supposedly very civil on the road. I can't say for sure, obviously, becuase I've never driven one. But, it sure as hell can't be any worse than the corvette. As far as the M3 goes, it is WONDERFUL to cruise in. It's also a blast to romp on. But, it has one hell of a pricetag if something breaks out of warranty. Go check the price on Nissan parts compared to BMW parts sometime. It's painful to think about if you own a Bimmer. I HATE Renault. I can't stand French engineers, to be honest. But, this was engineered by Japanese engineers working for the brand we all love. The only thing French about it is the money used for R & D. What I'm trying to say is enjoy the past (Classics, NXen, B14s, B15s, S13&14s, RNN14s, R32, 33, 34s, P10s and 11s), but appreciate what's happening now. Time, unfortunately, can't move backwards. Live now.

Ok ok ok.. I'm going to try to brake this down..
Skyline a masterpiece?? So EVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVER far from that. but that's a matter of opinion.

The "Core" of the Skyline is no longer there. Ask someone with a Sr20De motor if they think the B15 SE-R is a "Real" SE-R. Piss NO! That was the CORE!! Besides the new "SE-R" is four door.
Most of the people that like performance cars will know this.
I'm more then positive 90% of the people that buy the new Skyline NEVER owned a Nissan. Or care about the past of the older Skylines.

Corvette a cheaply made car?
So you think the new skyline has top of the notch parts? Give me a brake.

You complain about the cost of parts of a M3 out of warranty? How the HELL can you compare a Nissan to a BMW? Nissan has NOTHING that can compare to a BMW not even the Infiniti line of cars.

If you can afford a M3 a M5 or anything in that class Believe me, what it cost to get it fixed or maintained should be nothing and that means you can't afford it. Buy a Camry if someone is worried about parts and Up keep.
Like a person that owns a Lamborghini complains about Gas.

AWD, RWD, HUm.... Skyline will get hurt left at top end. Again, I would love to see that on a real controlled track.

I'm not knocking your thinking or anything as everything I said is just my opinion.

I don't quite agree with that, I think the RB26DETT is truly an amazing creation, and it may be gone now, but it's no reason to say that the new core isn't going to as good. It could end up being better for that matter. Time will tell if the GT-R has lost its core or not, just like time and experience has proven the new SE-R is not quite the car it should've been.

Nissan has nothing in America that compares to the high class BMW's, but I think it's an overstatement to say Nissan can't compare to BMW in any way. A new M5 may be nice, fast, and built from quality parts, but it's still not worth the cost. Especially now days BMW sells their cars for more than they should because of their reputation of being high quality, and while they may be high quality, the gap between them and other manufacturers is MUCH smaller than it once was. And for the first time, other cars (such as the new GT-R) are proving it by being able to perform in the same class as the once almighty euro cars like Porches and high end BMWs. IMO, even the R34 was comparable to the expensive euro cars.

Lol, I still dream about the R34 However I think it is only going to go up in value, especially since it is the final of the legendary set!
