Thread: Live Chat - For those of you who wanted it...

is there a way we can have the chat box flash, kinda like instant messenger when a new shout is posted? that would be sweet so we can surf the site and see new chating?

As long as you have flash8 or higher, pop ups allowed (so the actual window will pop up) and nothing like a firewall blocking Instant Messenger connections (the Jabber protocol to be exact) then it should connect fine.

There is no prereq to be able to use the chat, as long as you have a valid registered account on the forum you should be good to go.

Damn, i tried it on my desktop as well as my laptop and both computers nothing. I do get the new window popping out, but even though there may be ppl in the chat room i get a blank screen with no one in the right pane list and at the bottom it just says:
transferring date from 216.199.72.91...
This happens both in IE and Firefox
Both machines have been updated with the latest plugins and also allow to acquire pop ups, so dont know what else I need to turn on in order to see the ppl in the chat room
